As 2020 draws to an end, we reflect with mixed emotions. We are eager to say goodbye to the year filled with difficult challenges, sorrow and disappointment. Yet in the midst of the chaos, some incredible stories of courage, generosity and love have given us hope. COVID-19 changed the way we work, but it didn't change our commitment to help homeless pets in need. Our amazing staff and volunteers have met the challenge and continued to provide loving care for the animals in our facility.
There has been an incredible outpouring of public support that has inspired us. Hundreds of applications to adopt have flooded our inbox, making it possible for so many dogs and cats to find their forever homes. Donations of blankets, food, cleaning products and supplies have been left daily at our front doors. Monetary donations through our website, facebook and private donors have helped to replace the some of the lost income from services that we have had to restrict due to the epidemic. Rescues and businesses have sought out ways to work together for the benefit of the animals.
We are so very grateful to everyone that has been a part of The Simon Foundation, Animal Rescue and Adoption Center this year. We wish you, your family and friends a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Please stay safe, be healthy, and help others when you can.
Kitty in a Purse
Yes...this kitten was brought into our facility in a purse!!! A nice lady saved this kitten that had been dumped in her driveway by a passing motorist. She scooped up this cutie, put her in her purse and drove her over to our facility.
Thank you for stepping up and making a difference!
Nothing makes us happier than when a previous adopter decides it is time to add to their family. Both of these adorable pups are now Simon Alumni. They are loving life in their very loving and happy forever home.
Thank you for adopting and giving these pets a wonderful life!
