Checkers
Checkers had a wonderful life living with 5 other cats in a beautiful
home until his owner passed away. The owners family already has several
cats of their own, so Checkers, Pete, and Sam came to live at The Simon
Foundation. Pete was adopted quickly, but Sam and
Checkers are still
with us.
The tragedy here is that
Checkers has feline aids (FIV), so
he's not allowed in our main cat room with our other cats. Sam does not
have FIV, but he and
Checkers are best friends, and he didn't want to
leave him all alone. So Sam and
Checkers are living together in one of
our adoption rooms, but this is not the best case scenario.
Checkers is a
gorgeous black and white cat. He is a little shy, but very sweet and
loving. He would make a loving companion to someone who understands that
feline aids is not a death sentence. If you would like to adopt
Checkers or perhaps
Checkers and his friend Sam together
.
